Matsu // Flight of the Fungi

Matsutake, fondly called Matsu, embodies tranquility within the group. Unfazed by the confines of cottage core, she gracefully accepts her friends' frustrations, serving as their steadfast supporter and emotional anchor. Adorned in shades of blue, she exudes serenity. Initially trained in classical piano, Matsu now channels her expression through music, using it to convey her emotions and those of her companions. A black bolo tie, gifted by Agaric, adds a touch of rebellion to her attire, symbolizing her journey towards self-discovery and familial acceptance rather than political dissent.

Flight of the Fungi follows the conceptualization and creation of a musical band seeking expression and liberation in an oppressive and deceitful cottage core world. Once performing for their government the 'MycoConservatism Alliance' under the name 'Comply with the Fungi', they awaken and come to realise the truth of their world. Zapped and energised with this new sense of self, they transition into Flight of the Fungi, using their newfound love and freedom of punk rock music and fashion to help liberate the citizens of their world.
